Brad McLean, 42, of Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2024, leaving his family, friends, and community in shock and mourning. Born on March 15, 1982, Brad grew up in a close-knit family in the Boston area. He was known for his big heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Brad attended Newton North High School, where he excelled in both academics and sports, particularly baseball and hockey. 

His teammates remember him as a fierce competitor with a natural talent for leadership, always encouraging those around him. 

After high school, Brad attended Boston University, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

His sharp mind and passion for problem-solving made him a natural in his field, and he quickly established a successful career as an engineer, working for several prominent firms in the area.

Outside of his professional achievements, Brad was known for his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. 

He enjoyed hiking, skiing, and spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod, where he would often escape with family and friends. 

Brad was also a dedicated sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and Bruins, and he rarely missed a game.

Despite his busy career, Brad was deeply committed to his family and friends. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle, always showing up for family gatherings, holidays, and special events with a smile on his face and a story to share. 

His friends often described him as the glue that held their group together, with a knack for making people feel seen and valued.

Brad’s sudden death has left a community heartbroken. He will be remembered for his generosity, his kind spirit, and the joy he brought into the lives of others. 

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Kathy McLean, his sisters Jessica and Claire, and his nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held on October 12, 2024, in Boston.
