Anthony Caliendo FDNY Obituary : Anthony Caliendo Lindenhurst NY Death : United States Marine Corps And Firefighter Died Unexpectedly

It is with profound sadness that the Department announces the passing of active firefighter Anthony M. Caliendo of Ladder 158, a dedicated public servant whose selfless commitment to duty and unwavering bravery touched the lives of many. 

Firefighter Caliendo's courageous spirit and exemplary service spanned five years, during which he served our great department with honor and distinction. 

Prior to his firefighting career, Anthony proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of service, sacrifice, and dedication to a cause greater than oneself.

Anthony leaves behind a legacy of bravery, compassion, and selflessness that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. 

He is survived by his beloved daughter Eliana, his mother Anita, his father Anthony, his sisters Kristen and Lauren, and his girlfriend Daniela, who were his pillars of strength and support throughout his remarkable journey.

In accordance with his wishes and in recognition of his dedicated service, arrangements have been made to honor Anthony's life and legacy:

Visitation:

Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Funeral Mass:

Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:45 am

Location: St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 35 N Service Rd, Dix Hills, NY 11746

Internment:

Immediately following the Funeral Mass

Location: Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735
