Those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Bruce Knight, more often known as "BK," will never be the same. His untimely death in Nashville from an aneurysm has broken many people's hearts. For those lucky enough to have known him, BK was an inspiration in addition to an accomplished Front of House (FOH) engineer.
As far as audio engineering was concerned, BK was in a league of his own. His systematic technique and careful attention to detail brought out the best in every performance he was a part of. Every project that BK worked on, from balancing the sound for a live performance to adjusting the acoustics of a studio, showcased his dedication to audio quality.
The character of BK was more important than his technical skill. In every sense, he was an outstanding human being; he was helpful, generous, and kind. Anyone lucky enough to be in his company felt instantly at ease, and his infectious laughter and kind demeanor could lift anyone's spirits on the worst of days.
Many others considered BK to be more than simply a musician or coworker; they considered him family. Regardless of where he traveled, he created strong bonds with everyone he encountered. Those fortunate enough to have known him were profoundly affected by his extraordinary capacity for genuine, human connection, which went far beyond the confines of professional relationships.
