Five people died in the tragic incident in Oklahoma City, which has left the town in shock and grief. A report from the Oklahoma City Police says that the events happened on Monday morning when police reacted to a distressing 911 call.
The caller broke the terrible news that five people had been found dead in a house near Southwest 29th Street and South Czech Hall Road.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene at 9:35 a.m. and found that all five people there had died from gunshot wounds. This included four victims and the accused killer.
Jonathan Candy, 42, was named as the suspect and was found with the dead. Jonathan's wife Lindsay Candy, who is 39 years old, and their three children, Dylan Candy, 18, Ethan Candy, 14, and Lucas Candy, 12, were among the people who died.
The police have started their investigation into this terrible tragedy and are working hard to find out what happened with the deaths.
Law enforcement is working hard to put together pieces of evidence to figure out what happened before the horrible event, even though Jonathan Candy's reason for his actions is still unknown.
In spite of the terrible loss the Candy family has experienced, there is still a small bit of hope. Reports say that a fourth child who was in the house at the time of the shooting got out of there safely.
The child was given to family members who were at the scene of the crime and was immediately safe. This provided some comfort to the community during this terrible loss.
As the investigation goes on, the Oklahoma City Police Department wants anyone who knows anything about what happened to come forward and help the families who were hurt by this senseless act of violence find peace.
After this terrible event, people in the community are getting together to help each other and mourn the deaths of beloved people who were taken too soon.
