Live Updates: 2024 NFL Draft Selections for Alabama Crimson Tide Players

As the 2024 NFL Draft commences in Detroit, all eyes are on the Alabama Crimson Tide, a program with a storied history of producing NFL talent. Former Alabama coach Nick Saban, now making his broadcasting debut with ESPN, has left an indelible mark on the NFL draft, having seen an impressive 126 players drafted by NFL teams during his tenure.

This year's draft holds particular significance as it marks Saban's "last" NFL draft class following his departure from the sidelines, adding a touch of nostalgia and anticipation to the proceedings. Leading the charge for Alabama in this year's draft class is edge defender Dallas Turner, a standout talent hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The 6-foot-4 All-American, known for his remarkable speed demonstrated with a 4.47 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, is poised to make waves in the NFL. Turner is projected to be selected No. 8 overall by the Atlanta Falcons, according to USA Today's Michael Middlehurt-Schwartz. Joining Turner are standout prospects such as offensive tackle JC Latham, cornerbacks Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry, and a host of other talented Crimson Tide players vying for their shot at the NFL.

Alabama's impressive draft class adds another chapter to the program's illustrious history in the NFL draft. Last year, Alabama tied with SEC rival Georgia for the most players selected in a single draft, with 10 players making the leap to the professional ranks. The program's all-time record since the draft moved to seven rounds in 1994 stands at 12 players selected in 2012, a testament to Alabama's enduring legacy of producing NFL talent.

Under Saban's guidance, Alabama has consistently churned out NFL prospects, with a staggering 44 first-round picks among the 126 players drafted into the league during his tenure. The 2021 NFL Draft saw a record-breaking six first-round picks from Alabama alone, further solidifying the program's status as a powerhouse in NFL talent development.

As the draft unfolds, Alabama fans eagerly await the announcement of each Crimson Tide player's new landing spot in the NFL. With a rich tradition of success and a pipeline of elite talent, Alabama continues to leave an indelible mark on the NFL landscape, cementing its reputation as a premier destination for aspiring professional football players.
