Marshella Chidester Monroe MI Arrested After Swan Boat Club Accident That Killed 2 and Injured 15 Others

According to Sheriff Troy Goodnough's announcement during Saturday night's press conference, a woman drove her automobile into a child's birthday party, killing two children and injuring fifteen others. 

An 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old kid, who were identified as victims at the scene, were among the victims, according to police reports.

At about 3 o'clock in the afternoon, a lady reportedly slammed her car into the wall of the Swan Boat Club in Monroe County, Michigan, and then came to a stop 25 feet inside.

The fifteen casualties were attended to the first responders who arrived on the site. Ambulances and helicopters whisked nine of them to nearby hospitals where they were treated for critical, maybe fatal injuries. 

Three children and six adults were among those who were taken. The sheriff said that private vehicles transported more accident victims to hospitals.

An arrest warrant for 66-year-old Marshella Chidester, who is believed to have been driving under the influence and killed someone, was filed at the scene. Chidester is currently being held in Monroe County Jail.

In addition to supporting the wounded and their families, the community is in mourning over the deaths of the two little siblings. The incident is being investigated by local authorities in order to ascertain the specific details and causes of the catastrophe.
