UPDATE: The Liberty Middle School student who suffered a medical emergency yesterday afternoon has been pronounced dead at the hospital. The victim has been identified as Morgan Williams.
After experiencing a medical emergency at Liberty Middle School on Tuesday afternoon, a youngster is currently being transferred to the hospital before being taken to the hospital. In accordance with the information provided by Don Webster of HEMSI, the event took place on the football field at approximately 2:47 p.m.
As stated by a spokeswoman for Madison City Schools, the emergency occurred while the students were participating in physical education class. HEMSI, Madison Police, and Madison Fire were all present on campus to evaluate the situation and provide assistance.
There has been communication with the child's parents. Apparently, the youngster is currently being brought to the Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children, according to Webster. The current state of the child's health is unknown at this time. It is a story that is still developing.
