AJ Simon Bloomsburg NFL Obituary : Amitral Simon Death : UAlbany Football Player AJ Simon Has Passed Away

AJ Simon, an American football player hailing from Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Pocono Mountain West, has passed away. 

Simon, who played as a Defensive Lineman for the University of Albany Great Danes Football Team, showcased his talents in nine games during his time on the field.

Among his notable achievements, Simon recorded 6.0 tackles against Rhode Island on November 19, 2.0 sacks against Baylor on September 3, and an interception against Hampton on October 15. 

In total, he amassed 30 tackles, with 16 solo tackles and 14 assisted tackles, along with 5.0 sacks.

Before joining the University of Albany, Simon attended Bloomsburg University, where he earned the distinction of being named to the 2021 First Team All-Conference. 

In high school, he lettered in football at PMW/Kirkland Academy. On a personal note, AJ, whose full name is Amitral Simon, was the son of Amitral Simon and Felma Simon. 

He had two sisters, Dominque and Doranella, and had plans to pursue a major in Sociology. Simon's passing is mourned by his family, friends, teammates, and the broader football community. 

His contributions to the sport and his dedication to his academic pursuits leave behind a lasting legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
