Noah Riley Overstreet, aged 24, of Daleville, passed away peacefully to join the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Russell and Betty Moran, and Obediah and Anita Overstreet, as well as his cherished uncle, Mark Overstreet.
Noah was a distinguished graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended the Naval Academy Prep School before earning his degree from Concord University. He was a versatile athlete, excelling in football, track, and wrestling, leaving an enduring legacy as a formidable competitor.
In recent years, Noah found solace in outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and bowling, enjoying these pursuits with a close-knit circle of friends. As a beloved Physical Education Teacher at Roanoke’s Patrick Henry High School, Noah formed strong connections with his colleagues and students, sharing captivating stories and inspiring countless lives.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Tim and Melissa Overstreet; his cherished sister, Olivia Overstreet, affectionately known as “Woah”; his beloved niece, Nahlyia; and a loving extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dear partner, Tessa Bailey, alongside his faithful hiking companion, Banjo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lord Botetourt High School, with "Botetourt Buddies" noted in the memo line, supporting a special needs fund. Alternatively, those wishing to honor Noah's love for nature may plant a tree in his memory.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Fincastle Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Kevin Cummings. Prior to the service, the family will receive guests for two hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Simpson Funeral Home, located at 5160 Peters Creek Road.
