On the fateful night of April 13, 2024, tragedy struck at a block party near the intersection of Williams Avenue and Martin Luther King Street in Wynne, Arkansas.
At approximately 10 p.m., chaos erupted as shots rang out, claiming the life of one individual and leaving at least nine others injured in the ensuing turmoil. Adding to the horror, two victims were tragically run over by vehicles amidst the chaos and confusion.
In the wake of this senseless violence, the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division has taken up the mantle of investigating the incident, responding to the urgent plea for assistance from the Wynne Police Department.

The severity of the situation was underscored by the deployment of a helicopter to transport one victim to the Regional One Health Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.
