Jacey Hunter, 24, of Rosthern, Saskatchewan, tragically passed away on October 4, 2024, following a devastating car accident. Her sudden death has left her family, friends, and the Rosthern community in deep sorrow.
Jacey was known for her vibrant personality, generous heart, and her bright future ahead, making this loss all the more painful for those who loved her.
Born on June 15, 2000, Jacey grew up in Rosthern, where she was a beloved member of the community.
She attended Rosthern Community School, where she excelled academically and was actively involved in various extracurricular activities.
Jacey had a passion for sports, particularly volleyball and basketball, where she was a standout player.
Her teammates remember her as a hardworking and dedicated athlete, always encouraging others and lifting their spirits both on and off the court.
After high school, Jacey pursued further education at the University of Saskatchewan, where she studied Education.
Her dream was to become a teacher and give back to the community that had supported her throughout her life.
Jacey’s friends and professors admired her for her enthusiasm for learning and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Her passion for working with children was evident in the many hours she spent volunteering at local schools and youth programs.
Jacey was also known for her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. She enjoyed spending her free time hiking, camping, and exploring the natural beauty of Saskatchewan with her friends and family.
Her infectious smile, sense of humor, and ability to find joy in the little things made her a bright light in the lives of those around her.
The car accident that took Jacey’s life occurred on a rural highway outside of Rosthern. While the details are still under investigation, the loss has been deeply felt throughout the community.
Jacey is survived by her parents, Mark and Heather Hunter, her younger brother, Ryan, and her extended family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on October 10, 2024, at the Rosthern Community Church, where her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
